Spectrum Center Unveils Enhanced Hospitality and Dining Experiences

Celebrating 20 Years with Modern Upgrades and Local Flavors

As the Spectrum Center approaches its 20th anniversary, significant renovations have transformed the arena into a hub of modern hospitality and diverse culinary offerings.

Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE), in collaboration with hospitality partner Levy, has introduced two dynamic areas within the Belk Concourse: the Lunazul North District and The South District.

These spaces serve as vibrant gathering spots, featuring elevated signature dishes, rotating menus, craft cocktails, and local brews.

The Lunazul North District offers a contemporary atmosphere with offerings like porchetta sandwiches, falafel bowls, bulgogi rice bowls, and stuffed churros.

In contrast, The South District embraces a cozy, southern hospitality theme, serving house-smoked BBQ, 'Carolina Quesadillas'—a waffle concept with hot chicken and macaroni—specialty pretzels, and pan pizza.

Both districts are equipped with self-service technology to ensure faster, more convenient checkout experiences.

Beyond these districts, the arena has expanded its culinary landscape across all levels.

New dining locations now offer a wider variety of cuisines, including fresh hummus, grilled pita, lamb gyros, and Greek-inspired salads.

Local favorites such as Amelie's French Bakery, Bruster's Ice Cream, and Knowledge Perk Coffee have also found a home within the arena, providing fans with a taste of Charlotte's rich culinary scene.

To enhance speed and convenience, nearly 40% of food and beverage locations now feature frictionless technology.

This includes four new checkout-free markets where fans can grab their food and drinks without waiting in line, as well as eight self-service grab-and-go markets offering on-the-go fan favorites, snacks, and drinks.

These upgrades are part of a broader $245 million renovation project aimed at modernizing the Spectrum Center and enhancing the fan experience.

The arena is set to reopen on October 19, 2025, with a series of events, including a concert by Billie Eilish, followed by the Charlotte Hornets' home opener against the Brooklyn Nets on October 22.

For more information on the new dining options and upcoming events, fans are encouraged to visit the Spectrum Center's official website.
