Charlotte’s creative scene rings in Lunar New Year at New Moon Festival

Charlotte’s creative community is coming together this weekend for a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration in the heart of the city.

The New Moon Festival takes place Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Blume Studios, bringing together local artists, vendors, performers, and small businesses for a full-day cultural experience. The event blends traditional Lunar New Year themes with Charlotte’s modern creative energy, offering a space for connection, celebration, and community building.

Organizers are positioning the festival as more than just a market. It’s a gathering designed to spotlight local creatives while honoring the cultural significance of Lunar New Year, a holiday centered around renewal, intention-setting, and community.

What to expect:

• Local art and handcrafted goods
• Small business pop-ups and vendors
• Community-focused programming
• A welcoming, family-friendly environment

For Charlotte’s growing creative economy, events like this matter. They give emerging artists and entrepreneurs a platform while helping more residents discover diverse cultural traditions happening right in their own neighborhoods.

If you’ve been looking for a weekend plan that blends culture, creativity, and community, this is a strong pick, especially for families and anyone who wants to support local makers.
