Charlotte Gears Up for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025

A Week-Long Celebration of Innovation and Collaboration in the Queen City

Charlotte's entrepreneurial community is set to shine during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) from November 17 to 23, 2025.

Mayor Vi Lyles has officially proclaimed this period as Global Entrepreneurship Week in Charlotte, underscoring the city's commitment to fostering innovation and supporting local businesses.

Organized by Charlotte Economic Development, GEW Charlotte will feature over 20 events, including workshops, panels, and networking sessions designed to connect founders, creators, and innovators with essential resources and relationships.

One of the week's highlights is the GEW Charlotte Celebration, scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Skyline Room at Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts.

This event offers a relaxed atmosphere for networking and celebrating the city's entrepreneurial spirit.

Another notable event is the JA Be Entrepreneurial Competition on Wednesday, November 19, at 6 p.m. at the CO-LAB at UNC Charlotte Center City.

This competition showcases middle school students pitching their innovative business ideas to a panel of judges, highlighting the next generation of entrepreneurs.

In addition to these events, the HIIVE Program, a nine-week small business educational initiative by Charlotte Center City Partners, will be in session during this period.

HIIVE focuses on providing educational curriculum and operating space opportunities to food and retail businesses, emphasizing support for under-represented entrepreneurs.

Charlotte's entrepreneurial landscape has seen significant growth, with over 2,000 new jobs and nearly $200 million in investments announced this year.

Companies like Citigroup, SoFi, and Pacific Life have expanded their operations in the city, reflecting Charlotte's appeal as a hub for business development.

For a comprehensive schedule of events and registration details, visit the official GEW Charlotte website.

Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or a seasoned business owner, Global Entrepreneurship Week offers valuable opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate Charlotte's vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
