Breaking Stigma: Charlotte Offers Free Mental Health Counseling

Free Mental Health Counseling Is Available in Charlotte

Free, walk-in counseling with licensed professionals is now available at two Charlotte community centers—no insurance or appointment required.

If you or someone you know could use support right now, there is a free mental health resource available in Charlotte that’s worth knowing about.

Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center is partnering with Mecklenburg County to offer free walk-in counseling services at two Community Resource Centers across the city.

Residents can receive up to eight free counseling sessions with licensed counselors who can help with:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Substance use concerns
  • Crisis support
  • Or simply having someone to talk to

No insurance is required. No appointment is needed.

Counseling is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:
